Your name

Your name is Isabella (pronounced ISSABELLA and not IZABELLA) Kaylee. We decided on Isabella before daddy and I were married. We were originally going to name you Isabella Kristen. Isabella means "God's Promise" and is just a very pretty name.

Isabella DOES NOT come from the series Twilight. Mommy and daddy do not like wussy vampire movies. This is important for you to know because these books and movies came out the year and year after you were born and Isabella is the most popular name of 2009 (so it is likely you won't be the only Isabella your age in school). Just remember your first name was picked out seven years prior to your birth.

Kristen is daddy's youngest sister's middle name. Then mommy decided that if we were going to give you such a formal name like Isabella, she wanted you to have something more casual and sweet as a middle name in case you liked that better later. Kaylee comes from two things: One, your Grandma Liedy and your Aunt Desiree's middle names are Kay. Two, It is a little bit of daddy's nerd coming out as Kaylee is a character from "Firefly" which I am sure we will show you one day.

Finally, your nickname is Issa but very few people call you that. Its because mommy wasn't horribly fond of the nickname at first but its growing on me. Bella was the character in Twilight, so that is out and mommy and daddy don't like the z sound for Izza. Most people call you Isabella, which is fine with mommy and daddy. This way you can decide what you want to be called when you are older.
